Hi,

Is it possible to remove 0% - €0 amounts from the tax breakdown in the invoices? It looks rather strange on non export invoices.

(the deposits for some reason have 0% attached to it, also when no VAT is selected)

We’ve changed this now so that it’ll no longer display the tax as 0% when there’s actually no tax rate. Thanks for pointing this out!

Hi,

While tweaking our invoices I noticed this has returned for some reason?

My invoices have a 0% VAT line in the tax breakdown for my deposits (which actually do not have a VAT associated to it).

I’ve checked things on our side and if the deposit is tax exempt (i.e. no tax rate selected, different to 0%), it should be showing as such.

We did have a related change to the Breww Modern template code within the last couple of months. If you had created your own template before we made this change, then you won’t have the change in your template. It uses the `title` attribute, which would display as tax exempt where required.

```auto
{% for tax_line in tax_breakdown %}
   <tr class="total">
      <td colspan="{{ cols - 1 }}">{{ tax_line.title }}:</td>
      <td>{{ tax_line.amount }}</td>
   </tr>
{% endfor %}
```

Make sure you have this code in your template and that your scheme is definitely tax exempt.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the suggestion. I am using my own template - my string is:

```auto
    {% for tax_line in tax_breakdown %}
            <tr class="totalnb">
                <td colspan="{{ cols - 1 }}">{{ tax_name }} {{ tax_line.vat_rate }}%:</td>
                <td>{{ tax_line.amount }}</td>
            </tr>
        {% endfor %}
```

Couple of issues with your suggestion:

- tax\_line.title does not translate to dutch - so if I use it an english word shows up in my dutch invoice. I get “BTW [dutch for VAT] exempt”
- More important though is that the amount is (and always will be) 0. as such it serves no purpose on the invoice, as you can’t figure out where it refers to, unless somewhere in it would refer to which amount is tax exempt.

As such I’d rather it not be part of the invoice - it is a minor thing, but it doesn’t look good and (imo) professional.

Ah I see. If you don’t want it to show at all, you could do something like (untested):

```auto
{% for tax_line in tax_breakdown %}
    {% if tax_line.title != "BTW exempt" %}
        {# tr code #}
    {% endif %}
{% endfor %}
```

This would then exclude the table row if it’s the exempt row. Or you could even not show the row if the `tax_line.amount` was zero, but this would exclude 0% and exempt as well.
