# Planned packagings can now be added at the same time as planning a batch

Planned packagings are really useful when it comes to forecasting production and planning your schedule. They greatly improve the power of the [stock forecasting tools](https://community.breww.com/t/beer-stock-availability-forecasting-tool-now-available/485) and show on your batch schedule calendar.

To make them easier to set up, you can now add them from the same form as the original batch planning.
