Unless Im missing something, currently if a customer places an order after midnight using Sellar (for example - but it may be the same for the breww trade store) and their delivery area is on that day, Breww will schedule for the following delivery date and not that day.

We have a few customers who order late after service. So for example their delivery day is Thursday, and they order at 00:30 on Thursday morning as they are closing up. Breww would currently schedule this for the following Thursday and we have to manually notice this and move this back to the correct day.

It would be good if Breww would schedule the orders for that day, and continuing accepting orders until the run is actually processed on Thursday morning.

Ive had a play with the automatic delivery rules and I cant see a way to implement that there.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ben.

This should be possible using the **Time of day** condition in [Delivery Rules](https://breww.com/docs/delivery-rules/).

Before some point in time, you take them down a route for same-day dispatch; alternatively, you go down a route for next-day dispatch.

If you’re having any trouble implementing this, please let us know and we’ll help you get this set up.

I dont think this will work. (Or I cant get it to work!).

I have exactly this working for courier deliveries. So anything after midnight but before 5am will get processed that day. Thats fine.

However it’s particular for customers with set postcode based delivery days delivered in our own vehicle that Im trying to get it to work.

For those we have to select “Use delivery area’s next delivery date” as the processing option. But that automatically uses midnight as the cut off. I cant see any other way around that.

Ah, I see what you mean. Sorry for the confusion. You’re right that this is not currently possible.

Don’t forget to vote for your request.

Is this a feature request or a bug?

Surely if a customer orders before their next deliver run is processed then they should be on that delivery run?

That’s probably open to interpretation. The code is operating as intended, so by that measure it’s not a bug. As there is no concept of a cut-off time for same-day delivery (or “processing of a delivery run”), the assumption would have to be midnight; therefore, I’d argue that it’s working as expected from the available options.
