At the moment our spirit duty current return page is an accumulation of our payable totals over a month. It would be really useful to filter this by dispatch date so we’re able to completed our W5 / W5D daily. Currently we have to keep track of how the “Total Litres” and “Litres of Pure Alcohol” increases daily and calculate the difference to be able to submit our W5. It would be a useful tool for reviewing and projecting too.

I’m sorry, but there’s no update to report on this yet. We’ve been busy working on other requests, but do hope to get to this in the future. Please make sure you have voted for it (if you haven’t already).

From 1st February 2025, HMRC is changing how these duty returns are completed. As part of the changes, spirit returns will be submitted monthly. As a result, I believe this request is no longer required.
