This would be useful for tracking our taphandles as well, although we would not want to have a barcode attached to each one. We just need to account for where they are and know if they have been returned or not.

Kind of a shame that dozens of users have asked for this, and Breww acknowledges this is a top voted request… They even encourage users keep voting because that’s how they prioritize requests, but then they say that’s not the only factor in deciding..
Kinda feels like the factor they use in prioritizing feature requests from the community is “how will this new feature make Breww money” & “how much money will this new feature make us” - otherwise there would have been at least a LITTLE progress made in the 5 years..
Anyways, seems like people would still like this feature.

I can understand why you might feel the way you do, but I can assure you that there is a lot more to the prioritisation process than just “what we think will make the most money”. The votes are very important and make a real difference, but this isn’t an election, and they are not the be-all and end-all.
We are a business, and what we think will keep our existing users happy and help bring more to the platform is, of course, a part of the prioritisation process. It would be stupid for it not to be. We’re not a charity, and we need to make money to stay in business. However, there is much more to it than just money. We’re also human, imperfect, and doing our best to juggle thousands of requests from thousands of users.
All the top-voted features get regularly reviewed in our development meetings. We recognise that this feature is important and highly desired by many, so we will ensure that we address it when possible. A feature like this is very close to an all-or-nothing; a “little” progress, as you’ve suggested, wouldn’t result in anything of much use to anyone. For example, being able to send equipment to customers but not receive it back would be more unhelpful than helpful.
We will provide updates here as soon as we have more information, but until then, your votes are important and do make a real difference.
