Duty calculations for mixed-packs

Hi, not sure what is going wrong, but I don’t think this happened last time I created a mixed-pack product … made up a box of 12 cans from 7 beers (1 x Bitter, 1 x Stout, 2 x Hazy, 2 x APA, 2 x XPA, 2 x IPA, 2 x Session Hazy). Calculated the duty amount for each/all the cans on a spreadsheet based on the NZ Duty rates and entered this into the Box product details ($9.09). Starting our customs return and checking the Alcohol Duty tab I was startled to see a figure way higher than expected so checked the ‘Manage Product Duty’ page to find 7 product lines for the same mixed-pack, each with the full duty rate of $9.09 … have I set up the mixed-pack incorrectly? Any advice would be appreciated.

We don’t have any automation of duty from Breww in NZ so won’t affect what we pay, but we use the calculations to double check the amount we manually enter into the NZ Customs portal, and could be an issue that affects users from other countries?

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for reaching out on the community!

Would you mind raising a support ticket for this one? You can do so by heading to “Need help?” in Breww and using the “Ask a question” function. Just enter a relevant question like “Have I set up the mixed-pack incorrectly?” — Breww will try to provide an answer, and underneath you’ll see the option to raise a support ticket. Once that’s done, I will be able to take a look at this one in your account.

Cheers!
