This is obviously a very common process so i am sure there must be an existing solution. I am however at a loss to find that as yet.

Is there a way of recording the volume of hops or yeast that is taken from the cone of a fermenter that will then update the current volume?

I see there is a way of moving ingredients from one tank to another but not simply taking them away to be disposed of?

Ideally this would be on the daily fermentation form

You could add a negative volume. I think that’s the best way, currently.
Be aware that we can’t (currently) undo a negative volume addition, so it’s best to get it right first time ☹

To remedy this I then have to add volume back again which messes with total batch size. It would be useful if I could undo the action and then do another negative volume addition. (Please allow this action to be done or un…

I don’t think these volume changes are considered as losses, so that’s something to watch out for.

Hi Bernie, Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you are looking for a way to reduce the vessel volume to account for the removal of hops/yeast sat at the bottom of the fermenter; if so, I would agree with @jon-kyme2’s suggestion. If I have misunderstood this, then let me know. Cheers!
