I have a brewwQl query - on the Products page, i am trying to use the `total_packaged_beer_quantity` filter - I assumed it would filter based on stock level, but does this actually filter on the number of products?

E.g. Show me any beer that has more than two products, or less than 5 products, as opposed to show me products that we have more than two in stock of?

Be grateful if anyone can shed any light on this. 🍻

Hmmm, it seems to be something to do with the number of _Component packaged beers_ making up the product? What’s that useful for?

Depending on what it is you’re trying to do, the **Products available** report might be the thing?

That’s correct. This field is the number of component packaged beers that make up the product. So for a 24-pack it would be 24. It has nothing to do with the stock level.

Thanks Jon, I’ll have to use that, I thought I might be able to just make some quick filters to save me a bit of faff.

Ahh, so why isn’t it called component\_packaged\_beers\_number, or something? 🙂

Thanks for confirmation Matt. Maybe this filter could be named a little differently? Doesn’t do what I intuited at all.

You’re right; the name probably isn’t the most intuitive. The field was initially created just for use behind the scenes (for things such as stock calculations) and follows backend naming conventions, but then we thought it might as well be exposed to users in case it’s useful. In hindsight, we should have picked a more user-friendly name at this point! It can be a little tricky to rename them now, as it can cause issues with people already using the field (as it would no longer exist by that name), for example, but if it keeps cropping up as an issue, we can do it.

No problem at all, the thread is here now to clear it up for anyone else that may not be getting the results they expected also.
Thanks for clarifying.
