Assigning A Returnable Keg To A Completed Delivery

Hi All. I need the help of the brain trust. We had a delivery driver drop off the wrong keg at a customer. We went through the steps to return the keg to our wholesale cooler. The customer has already paid this order through Fintech. How do we assign the correct keg to the order? It isn’t a different SKU, just a different container number.

Hi William, Thanks for your comment, and welcome to the community! If an order has been dispatched and completed, the assigned container cannot be changed. However, you could choose to select Return items on the order delivery page to return the container; it sounds like you have already done this. You could then create a ‘zero-value’ order for the product to the customer, assign the correct container and then dispatch and complete this. This would mean that the correct container is back in stock, and the correct container is showing at the customer. I hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else. Cheers.
