# Adding ingredients to batches after being packaged

Hi there, I am very new to Breww and posting here for the first time. I’m just looking at our malt stocks and it appears that an ingredient has not been added to a batch before the beer went into package. Is there a way of adding ingredients to the batch retrospectively if the beer has been packaged?

Even when a batch is “complete” you should be able to add an ingredient to it, I think? On the batch screen:

Hi Matt, Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the community! If the batch is complete, then ingredient additions can still be added via the **Add ingredient** button provided the user either has the **Admin** permission or if a **Production** user has the ‘additional’ permission of **Edit closed batches**. If the batch is only partially packaged and is still **In-progress** , you can still add ingredient additions. Let me know if you need any more help. Cheers!
