Hi, In 2026 we are looking at a significant increase in cost for the deposit scheme. This used to be a neglible 4.8 cents per box of 24 but will be 24cts per box. I would like to start factoring these costs into our calculations, but it looks like these are not added to the Product expected cost breakdown report we often use for this. Hopefully this can be added? ---

Hi, This is moving closer to being implemented and no response on this. This is a signifant addition to production costs so we should be able to include this in predictive cost reports, no? ---

It’s not in the short-term plan right now, but we don’t plan very far ahead of time (to keep us agile). We don’t reply to all threads either, only those where we need more information or have questions. Right now, it doesn’t have any votes at all, so a vote from you would be a good indicator that it’s in your top-20 requests. ---

I’d consider something as essential as additional costs to a product would flag some more urgency than just your run of the mill feature request. This is for us a 5% increase in packaging costs. approx 2% in overall costprice of the overal product (ingredients/pack/duty) I’ll give it my vote to flag it but would like to urge you take it seriously for dutch breweries ---

Is it an idea to add a “Additional cost always used when packaging this container type” on a container level? - so that it is not associated with stock? I also see the benefits for for instance keg-pool admin costs or cleaning costs Obviously the goal is to create a most realistic costprice calculation as possible. ---

We have now added container deposit scheme costs as an optional extra field to include on the product expected cost report 🎉 In addition to this, I do like the “Additional cost always used when packaging this container type” idea. If you still think this would be helpful, could you create a separate request for this feature? The original request here was put into the plan the day before your last comment, and so that other idea slipped through the net on the build, but it does really equate to a separate idea/feature anyway.
